The A5 London Holyhead Trunk Road is a major road in England and Wales. It runs for about 275 miles from London to the Irish Sea at the ferry port of Holyhead.

Early 19th-century Britain's most famous road - the original trans-Britain highway built by the civil engineer Thomas Telford to improve communication between London and Dublin after the act of union in 1800.
