Bangor, Gwynedd and Llandudno Junction are the two principal stations in North Wales. There are direct trains to these stations from London, Chester, Crewe, Birmingham, Shrewsbury, Manchester and Cardiff.

Regarding trains from London, apart from the direct trains there is also a frequent service between London Euston and Chester, and you would need to change trains at Chester.

Conwy and Llandudno have railway stations but with a much-limited service compared to Bangor and Llandudno Junction. Please note Conwy town is only a short 1-mile taxi journey from Llandudno Junction and Llandudno itself is about 5 miles in distance.

Popular destinations like Caernarfon and Beaumaris are only about 10 miles away from Bangor railway station and plenty of taxis are available at the station.

If you intend travelling to or from Scotland the best station for connections is Warrington Bank Quay with a frequent train service to Scotland. You can get a train to this station from North Wales or you could arrange to be taken or met there by Celticos or a taxi service.
