A metal detectorist has found what is thought to be the first Celtic chariot burial to be uncovered in Wales. Items found included a Celtic horse harness dating from around 600 BC.

The burial ritual was reserved for high-ranking chiefs who would be interred complete with their chariot, horses, tack and even weapons.
Archaeology Tours in Wales
Archaeology sites are found across Wales but some are remote. On the island of Anglesey, however, there are many sites that can easily be visited.
